Miss world Aishwarya Rai (green eyes) was born on 1st November 1973 at Mangalore. Her mother’s name is Krishna Raj and and father’s name is Vrinda Rai. Her family belongs to middle class background.
She completed her graduation in Architecture from Rachana Sansad School and schooling at Arya Vidya Mandir, Santacruz in Mumbai. At the age of 17 she won the Famous Ford Supermodels Contest.
She participated in the Miss World and Miss India Femina contest 1994. She became 1994 Miss World as soon as her career started go high.
She acted as best actress category for 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' and has won Filmfare Awards.
She acted some famous films such as Devdas, Taal, 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Dhoom-2', 'Umrao Jann', and 'Guru. The Bengali film 'Choker Bali'. She was also featured on the cover of the Time magazine.
For some time she was linked with bollywood star Salman Khan, but their relations were breakon down after year’s speculation. She also link with Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi for some time.
After all them she finally got married with to Indian actor Abhishek Bachchan (Son of Amithabh Bachchan) on April 20, 2007 at “Prateeksha”, the Bachchans' bungalow.
She set the example to whole world by generously volunteered to donate her eyes.
